Writing a detective story...

As a teacher, it's always a pleasure to see pupils being able to communique by themselves. The aim of this following activity was to write detective stories in simple past, a lesson we had studied in class. The children gathered in groups of three to five and decided by themselves on the characters, settings, exposition, conflict, climax and resolution of their stories. Then, they wrote their stories which were corrected, of course, but only on the grammatical issues that had not already been studied in class.

The following task was to learn and train to tell these stories in front of the class. They trained very seriously and the result was tremendous! 

It has been a real pleasure for me to make the pupils of this class work on that task... I'm just looking forward to doing something else with them!
